Bollywood legend Rishi Kapoor passed away in a Mumbai hospital on Thursday,  67-year-old actor was taken to H N Reliance hospital by his family on Wednesday morning.

The Bollywood actor returned to India last September after undergoing treatment for cancer in the US for almost a year.

Rishi Kapoor's death was confirmed as Bollywood legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan expressed his grief in a tweet announcing his death.

The actor recently announced his next project, a remake of Hollywood film "The Intern", also featuring Deepika Padukone.

Rishi Kapoor is survived by his wife Neetu Kapoor, son Ranbir and daughter Riddhima. Last seen in the 2019 films The Body and Jhootha Kahin Ka, Mr Kapoor was meant to star in a Bollywood adaptation of The Intern with Deepika Padukone.
