Security forces killed four militants during an intelligence-based operation in the Maddi area of Dera Ismail Khan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Tuesday.

According to the military’s media wing, the operation was launched on April 16 based on credible intelligence about the presence of terrorists in the area. The forces effectively targeted their hideout, resulting in the elimination of four militants.

During the intense exchange of fire, a brave soldier, Sepoy Basit Siddiq, embraced martyrdom while fighting gallantly for the motherland, ISPR said.

The statement further revealed that weapons and ammunition were recovered from the killed militants, who were actively involved in several acts of terrorism in the region. A clearance operation is underway to eliminate any remaining threats.
