International Father's Day celebrated with sentiments sharing

ISLAMABAD: People around the world including Pakistan shared their sentiments and feelings with their fathers on Sunday to celebrate International Father's day.

People having their fathers with them or not, expressed their love and feelings with their parents while mostly youngsters gave the day a look of celebration and festivity.

They colored the day with gifts, greetings cards, chocolates, flowers and other tokens of love and get together for their fathers as their celebrations served as a reminder to all children in the world to express their love and respect for their fathers.

The 3rd Sunday of June is celebrated as Father's Day in honor of William Smart, a widower who sacrificed himself selflessly to raise six children.

People from various communities wrote on social networking, "Father's Day is a day when we commemorate and celebrate the presence of that special person in our life we call `dad'. A person who has unconditionally accompanied us in different walks of our life, without any mopes or regrets. He is the one who has graced our lives with his overwhelming presence every moment."

"Father's Day is a day when we honor our dad and offer him our gratitude for all the hardships that he must have encountered during our parenting", "It is a way of recollecting happy moments together and expressing our heartfelt thanks to him," they said.

The joyous spirit of Father's Day celebration, credited the dads around the world with the sincere feelings towards him.

Children spent time with their dads who encompass every smile and every tear, every joy and every fear in their child's life.

The day honored fathers and celebrated fatherhood, paternal bonds, and the influence of fathers in society.

For those living without parents, the father was remembered as "the one who tossed his kids into the air and caught them every time", "the father who stayed up late, watching over his sick child" and "the one who is there, even when no one else is."
