Serial numbers of Indian Rafale jets downed by Pakistan revealed
A British defence journal has revealed the serial numbers of India’s four Rafale fighter jets shot down by Pakistan in military clashes in May, exposing India’s hollow claims of air superiority.
According to an investigative report published by the British defence magazine Key Aero, four Rafale aircraft of the Indian Air Force were destroyed during a 52-minute aerial engagement between Pakistan and India.
The report identified the downed Rafale jets by their serial numbers: BS-001, BS-021, BS-022 and BS-027.
The British journal stated that India has failed to present clear photographic evidence corresponding to these serial numbers.
It added that Pakistan’s multi-domain operations effectively paralysed the Indian Air Force, leaving Indian pilots unable to respond effectively.
According to the report, India’s overall losses during the conflict included four Rafale jets, MiG-29 and Su-30 fighter aircraft, as well as a Heron drone.
The report further claimed that on May 10, a JF-17C Block III aircraft disabled and destroyed India’s S-400 air defence system in Udhampur.
It also said that Pakistani cyber units disrupted nearly 96 per cent of India’s social networks and digital systems, marking the first time an air force had combined cyber warfare with conventional military operations in such a coordinated manner.
