ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar on Wednesday  said that initiation of a SAARC visa for the nationals of South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) member states  would not only make travel within the region easy for them but would also increase their ownership of the region.

The Foreign Minister raised the issue of difficulties in intra-regional  travel because of lengthy visa processes with the new Secretary General of SAARC,Ahmed Saleem, who called on her here.

The Secretary General assured the Foreign Minister to give active consideration to the suggestion. (APP)
