Concept watches are amusing as their designers always come up with mindboggling and unique ways of telling time with an insight into the future. Few are somewhat closer to the reality and others based on sheer fantasy. Continuing the legacy,Tokyo Flash is back with yet another submission, this time courtesy of Lloyd from Australia, who divulged details of this concept LED watch with MP3 player.

This concept LED watch design is christened as Hi Five as it depicts the way light descends on the grooves of a vinyl record. This LED watch displays time and date modes around a ‘record’ so as to replicate light reflecting on a record’s grooves. When this watch is in date mode, a diminutive red light comes at the bottom left corner of the display. It comes with a wide repertoire of coloured straps where you can easily choose between either plain or a funky record pattern.

The most astonishing feature of this watch is its capability to double up as an MP3 player, though, the details and specifications of the MP3 player are still scarce. This concept design would definitely infatuate anyone who likes music, records and quirky retro things. This watch is designed and placed in such a way that it gives the illusion of light shimmering off the record’s grooves.

This novel concept watch can be easily recharged through USB which is connected to your computer. Keeping sentiments of animal lovers in mind, straps are made from animal-friendly material i.e sans leather/fur etc. Though this LED watch still just a concept but people really want this to become a reality as they constantly look for devices that communicate the time in simple formats but look futuristic too.
