The Sindh government has officially mandated biometric verification for the registration and transfer of vehicles in the province.
This decision, announced by Sindh Excise Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon, will be rolled out in three phases.
Starting July 1, biometric verification will be required for new vehicle registrations. From November 1, it will also be necessary for those purchasing vehicles. Ultimately, both buyers and sellers will need to undergo biometric checks.
Memon emphasized that this initiative aims to enhance transparency within the Excise Department and combat illegal transfers and fraud.
