A Pakistan Army soldier Havaldar Shoaib embraced shahdat on Thursday when terrorists opened fire on security forces in Silak Kaur, Awaran, Balochistan during an IBO (intelligence-based operation), shared media wing of the military.
According to a press release by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the army conducted a search operation in Silak Kaur, Awaran after receiving an intelligence tip and recovered a cache of arms, ammunition, and communication equipment from the hideout.
During the operation, security forces and terrorists exchanged fire. Havaldar Shoaib embraced shahadat while one terrorist was killed and another captured.
"Security Forces Conducted an IBO on terrorist hideout in Silak Kaur, Awaran, Balochistan. 1 terrorist killed & 1 apprehended. A cache of arms, ammunition, and communication equipment recovered from the hideout. During intense exchange of fire with terrorists, Havaldar Shoaib embraced shahadat," shared ISPR.
The operation conducted on Thursday is the second IBO taking place in Awaran, Balochistan within the same week. Pakistan Army also conducted a similar operation two days ago on Tuesday. According to the statement issued by ISPR:
"On receipt of intelligence information regarding the presence of terrorists and their facilitators in Jatt Bazar near Awaran, Balochistan, Security Forces conducted Search /clearance Operation."
The statement further added that due to an intense exchange of fire with terrorists during the operation, Lance Naik Muhammad Iqbal embraced shahadat.
