The Government of Pakistan on Thursday strongly condemned the unlawful interception of the Global Sumud Flotilla by Israeli occupying forces in international waters.

In a statement, the Foreign Office also raised concerns over the arbitrary detention and mistreatment by Israeli occupying forces of humanitarian workers on board the flotilla, including Pakistani activist Saad Edhi.

Pakistan demanded the immediate release of all detained activists and urged the international community to ensure their safety, dignity, and fundamental rights.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said it is maintaining close contact with Pakistani diplomatic missions in the region to secure the safe return of any nationals affected.
