Japanese FM calls DPM Dar; praises Pakistan’s sustained mediation in US-Iran deal

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Monday received a telephone call from the Foreign Minister of Japan, Toshimitsu Motegi, wherein the two leaders welcomed the understanding reached between the United States and Iran.

Both leaders noted the significance of the US-Iran deal for regional stability and the broader international community.

The Japanese foreign minister conveyed Japan’s deep appreciation and commendation for Pakistan’s sustained mediatory role and constructive efforts throughout the process, which helped facilitate and advance the outcome achieved.

Both sides reaffirmed the importance of continued diplomatic engagement and the need to maintain close contact and regular exchanges to further strengthen bilateral relations and coordination on issues of mutual interest.
