WhatsApp locator caught 'Cocaine Queen' after Lahore police failed for 4 years
2 min readQuestions continue to surround the mysterious network and activities of alleged drug trafficker Anmol alias Pinky, widely known as the “Cocaine Queen”, following her recent arrest in Lahore.
According to sources, a sensitive anti-narcotics agency detained Anmol alias Pinky from Lahore’s Nawab Town area a few days ago after tracing her through a WhatsApp locator.
As she was wanted in narcotics cases registered in Karachi, she was later handed over to Karachi police.
Sources said the suspect had contracted a second marriage in Lahore, where her husband allegedly rented a house for her in his own name. Investigators believe narcotics were being prepared inside the rented property, from where drugs worth millions of rupees were recovered.
Despite the high-profile arrest, police have not publicly disclosed the identity of the alleged husband.
Sources further claimed no property, vehicle or other registered assets linked to Pinky have so far surfaced in Lahore.
The case has also raised questions about alleged lapses by Lahore police.
In 2022, Pinky’s brother, Riyaz Baloch, was arrested by Kot Lakhpat Police while allegedly transporting narcotics in a vehicle. During the operation, Anmol alias Pinky reportedly escaped by speeding away in the same car.
During interrogation, Riyaz Baloch allegedly informed police that the woman who fled was his sister, Anmol alias Pinky.
Police later registered a case under Section 9-C of the Control of Narcotic Substances law on the complaint of Sub-Inspector Amjad Raza and sent the accused to jail after completing the challan.
Sources said Pinky’s name was also mentioned in FIR No. 73. However, despite being named in the case, Lahore police allegedly failed to declare her a proclaimed offender for more than four years.
According to sources, the suspect was locally known in Lahore as “Pinky Karachi Wali”.
The sensitive agency’s operation reportedly succeeded in locating the suspect without prior knowledge of Lahore police, further intensifying questions over law enforcement coordination and earlier failures to apprehend her.
