Former White House adviser calls for Netanyahu’s son to be deported, sent to Iran war front
1 min readFormer White House adviser Steve Bannon has called on US authorities to deport Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s son, Yair Netanyahu, and send him to fight in the Iran war.
“Netanyahu’s kid down in Miami, turf him out tomorrow,” Bannon said.
“Where’s DHS when you need them? Get him back there. Put a uniform on him. Let’s have him in the first wave.”
Bannon also criticised the Israeli premier’s family, claiming neither Yair nor his brother Avner had served in the Israeli military during the ongoing conflict.
Yair Netanyahu, known for his outspoken views and controversies, is currently reported to be in Miami, while his brother Avner maintains a lower public profile.
The remarks come amid wider debate over whether the children of political leaders should serve in military conflicts.
Similar calls have surfaced in the United States, including a satirical campaign urging the enlistment of Barron Trump.
The US has not implemented a military draft since 1973, although men aged 18 to 25 are required to register for Selective Service.
