Over 7 killed, 9 injured in South Waziristan explosion
Over seven individuals were killed and nine others were injured due to an explosion in Wana, South Waziristan, on Monday (today).
According to hospital administration, a total of sixteen injured persons were initially shifted to the hospital following the blast. However, seven of them later succumbed to their injuries.
The injured have been transported to a nearby hospital, where they received medical treatment.
Police sources have confirmed that the blast took place in the office of a local peace committee member, creating widespread fear in the region.
Authorities have stated that the explosion’s intensity caused significant damage to the office building, trapping several injured individuals under the rubble.
Rescue teams and residents have promptly arrived at the scene to initiate relief efforts and assist the victims.
There was no official statement issued by authorities regarding the nature or motive behind the explosion.
However, police and security forces have cordoned off the area and launched an investigation.
