Gunfire outside mosque after Eid al-Fitr in Swabi claims lives of uncle, nephew
Two died, including uncle and nephew, as gunfire broke out between two groups outside a mosque following Eid ul-Fitr prayers in the Gadoon area of Swabi.
Police reported that both parties involved were related and that the shooting was the result of an ongoing feud.
Authorities responded quickly, arresting one suspect, while efforts continue to apprehend the remaining individuals involved.
The injured victims were promptly transported to a nearby hospital.
In response to the incident, police have increased security in the area and are conducting further investigations.
Similarly, an attack happened on March 12 on the Jaffar Express as security forces stated that terrorists used explosives to derail the train before opening fire. The attack resulted in multiple fatalities, including the train’s driver.
