Legal action initiated for non-compliance with PTI founder meeting decision
A petition for contempt of court has been lodged in the Islamabad High Court due to the failure to implement the larger bench’s decision concerning meetings with the founder of the PTI.
The petition names the Secretary of the Interior, the Secretary of the Interior of Punjab, and the Superintendent of the Jail as respondents. Asif Naveed is providing further updates on this matter.
The petition, submitted by Shibli Faraz, the Leader of the Opposition in the Senate and a PTI leader, addresses the lack of action taken by the authorities regarding the court’s directive.
On March 24, the larger bench ruled that meetings with the PTI founder must be arranged on Tuesdays and Thursdays; however, the petition alleges that the jail officials have failed to comply with this ruling.
