The Punjab Education Department has issued a notification regarding new school timings, set to take effect after the Eid-ul-Fitr holidays.

The revised schedule will be in place from April 7 until October 15.

For single-shift schools, classes will start at 8:00 AM and finish at 1:30pm, with an earlier dismissal at noon on Fridays.

For double-shift schools, the timings are as follows:

• the first shift will operate from 8:00am to 12:30pm, also ending at 12:00pm on Fridays.

• the second shift will run from 1:00pm to 5:30pm, with Friday hours adjusted to start at 2:30pm.

Additionally, the Punjab government has announced that schools will be closed for Eid-ul-Fitr from March 28 (Friday) to April 6 (Sunday), with regular classes resuming on April 7.
