Islamabad High Court announces court timings for Ramazan

Court offices plan to observe modified working hours during holy month

The Islamabad High Court has issued the court timings for the month of Ramazan, including those for both the high court and district and sessions court.

It was mentioned in a notification was released by Deputy Registrar Owais Hassan with the approval of the acting IHC chief justice.

According to the new schedule, single bench courts would operate from Monday to Thursday, from 9:30am to 11:30am. After each hearing, there will be a half-hour break before the next session. For division bench hearings, the timings will be from 12:00pm to 1:30pm, from Monday to Thursday.

On Fridays, hearings will take place from 9:30am to 11:30am. But no hearings will be held on Saturdays, as judges will use the day to write their orders and judgments.

The court offices will also observe modified working hours during Ramazan. From Monday to Saturday, the offices will remain open from 9:00am to 2:30pm. On Fridays, the office hours will be from 9:00am to 12:30pm.

Moreover, the District and Sessions Courts will follow similar timings. It will operate from 9:00am to 2:30pm, Monday to Saturday, with Friday hours from 9:00am to 12:30pm.
