A wave of fear and panic has gripped the village of Doran Khosa in the Sohbatpur area of Quetta after seven members of a family were brutally killed.

The assailants also set fire to the bodies following the attack.

According to police reports, the victims included a husband, wife and their three children.

The armed attackers stormed a hut-like house, opened fire and killed all seven occupants before torching the structure, burning the bodies inside.

Authorities have shifted the remains to the District Headquarters Hospital for legal formalities.

Preliminary police investigations suggest that the attack was linked to a dispute over agricultural land. A search operation has been launched to track down the perpetrators.
