Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the Prime Minister’s Digital Youth Hub, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif highlighted that nations do not progress through loans, expressing hope that the current arrangement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) would be the last.

He noted that Pakistan’s debt has increased over the past 77 years and pledged to free the country from this burden, aiming to transform its debt into a dignified existence.

He described the occasion as a unique moment of joy, emphasizing the importance of providing IT training to youth, which he believes will turn them into valuable assets for the nation. He announced that Rana Mashhood has been tasked with ensuring productive employment for the youth.

The Prime Minister reflected on his tenure as Chief Minister, where he implemented initiatives in health, education, and youth development. He stressed that today’s world demands the latest technology, citing the distribution of 400,000 laptops to talented students during his leadership in Punjab.

Shahbaz Sharif further asserted that the youth are Pakistan’s greatest asset and that equipping them with skills will lead to a prosperous future for the country.

He acknowledged that while IMF programs bring stability to the economy, it is crucial to break free from dependency on loans.

Emphasizing his commitment to public service, he stated that he will continue to serve Pakistan as a devoted leader, striving to strengthen farmers, industrialists, and the youth economically.

He also reported that in the past three weeks, 34 billion rupees have been added to the national treasury, driven by substantial bank profits, which led to tax imposition that resulted in legal challenges.
