New Zealand crush Pakistan by 115 runs to clinch T20 series
New Zealand secured the five-match T20 series 3-1 after thrashing Pakistan by 115 runs in the fourth match on Sunday in Mount Maunganui.
The visitors were bowled out for 105 runs in 16.2 overs, failing to chase the 221-run target set by the Black Caps.
Pakistan’s batting collapse saw nine players dismissed for single-digit scores. Khushdil Shah (6), Haris (2), Hasan Nawaz (1), captain Agha Salman (1), and Shadab Khan (1) all failed to provide resistance.
Earlier, New Zealand posted 220 for 6 in their allotted 20 overs.

Batting first, the hosts made a blistering start, reaching 50 runs in just 3.5 overs.
Opener Tim Seifert smashed 44 off 22 balls, including four sixes and three fours before Haris Rauf dismissed him with Khushdil Shah taking a sharp catch.
New Zealand’s powerplay onslaught continued as they racked up 79 runs in the first six overs and crossed the 100-run mark in just 7.2 overs. The second wicket fell at 108, with Mark Chapman (24) clean bowled by Rauf.
The Kiwi batters maintained their attacking approach, with Finn Allen smashing 50 off just 20 balls before Abbas Afridi removed him at 134 runs.
Jimmy Neesham (3) and Mitchell Hay (3) were dismissed cheaply by Abrar Ahmed, while the hosts suffered their fifth loss at 149.
For the fourth T20, Pakistan fielded an unchanged squad, while New Zealand made two changes, bringing in Will O’Rourke and Jacob Duffy in place of Kyle Jamieson and Ben Sears. Pakistan had won the toss and opted to bowl first.

However, Pakistan bounced back in the third T20 with Hasan Nawaz’s blistering century, chasing 205 runs in just 16 overs for a commanding 9-wicket victory.
