Robbery attempt backfires as armed dealers kill suspect in Karachi’s weapon market
A failed robbery attempt in Karachi’s weapon market proved costly for a suspect as he was shot dead by armed dealers.
The incident, captured on CCTV and obtained by Aaj News, shows the suspect trying to rob a firearm dealer with a fake pistol.
According to the footage, the robbers entered the gun shop carrying a fake pistol.
They seized a real weapon from the dealer and attempted to shoot him. However, as the suspects tried to flee with the stolen firearm, market dealers surrounded them, prompting the suspects to open fire.
Police confirmed that the armed dealers returned fire, killing one suspect on the spot.

The deceased was identified as Dad Muhammad, who had previously been involved in similar armed robberies targeting gun dealers.
Meanwhile, in a separate incident, a businessman was robbed in Napier police precincts.
Two motorcycle-riding suspects intercepted a timber market trader and fled with Rs500,000.
