Pakistan Railways announces schedule for Eid ul-Fitr trains
Pakistan Railways has released the timetable for five special trains that will run during Eid ul-Fitr to meet the rising travel demand.
Special trains will provide various classes, including economy, AC business, and AC standard, to accommodate different passenger needs.
The Pakistan Railways headquarters has sent detailed guidelines to all divisional officers to ensure smooth operations for the Eid train services.
Additionally, the federal government announced public holidays for Eid ul-Fitr from March 31 to April 2. A notification from the Cabinet Secretariat confirmed that the prime minister has designated these dates as public holidays for the Eid celebrations.

The holiday period will extend from Monday to Wednesday, enabling citizens to participate in the festivities and celebrate the occasion.
Meanwhile, the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, along with regional committees, will convene on the evening of Sunday, March 30, 2025 (Ramazan 29, 1446 AH), to observe the Shawwal moon. This sighting will indicate the potential conclusion of Ramadan and the start of Eid ul-Fitr celebrations in Pakistan.
The meeting will take place at the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, where religious scholars, meteorological experts, and other stakeholders will gather to review moon sighting reports from across the nation.
This session will confirm the exact date for Eid ul-Fitr, which signifies the end of Ramadan, the holiest month in the Islamic calendar.
