Eight killed in separate shooting incidents in Kalat and Nushki

Eight people, including four laborers and four police officers, were killed in separate shooting incidents in Balochistan’s Kalat and Nushki districts.

In Khaliqabad, Mangchar, Kalat district, unidentified motorcycle riders shot dead four laborers working at a tube well. According to the district administration, the incident occurred during iftar when armed attackers targeted unarmed workers in Killi Malangzai and fled the scene.

The deceased laborers, identified as Zeeshan, Khalid, Dilawar Hussain, and Muhammad Amin, were from Sadiqabad, Punjab. They were engaged in drilling work at a tube well owned by a landlord named Abdul Ghafoor Lango. The administration shifted the bodies to a nearby hospital.

In a separate incident, four police officers were killed by unknown gunmen in Nushki’s Gareebabad area on Saturday night. Nushki police chief Hashim Mehmood confirmed the incident, stating that the officers were on routine patrol when they were attacked.

The bodies of the slain officers have been shifted to Nushki Teaching Hospital for post-mortem examination.
