The Federal Investigation Agency arrested at least three suspects for allegedly trafficking girls to China at the Islamabad airport on Monday

They were arrested while preparing to fly to China, the FIA said. The agency also rescued a girl who was being smuggled under the pretense of marriage.

Initial investigations revealed that the arrested individuals were facilitating marriages between Pakistani girls and Chinese nationals as a means to secure employment for them. The gang is believed to include several women.

The spokesperson further noted that two of the suspects were supplying personal information and documents of the girls to a Chinese agent, who arranged clients for significant payments.
