Seven suspects in custody managed to escape from a jail in Bahawalnagar, Punjab.

A spokesperson for the police confirmed that three of the escaped individuals were recaptured after a chase, while efforts are ongoing to locate the remaining four suspects.

Reports indicate that the fleeing suspects allegedly assaulted a constable on duty at the time of their escape.

The spokesperson further revealed that these suspects were wanted in relation to multiple criminal cases and had been detained in the CIA police lockup for questioning.
