Eidul Fitr 2025 can likely bring a long nine-day holiday period for people in Pakistan, reports said.

The Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission predicted that Eid in Pakistan could fall on March 31.

Public holidays for the festival usually span three days.

But it could lead to nine consecutive days off, including the weekends, if the government declares official holidays from March 29 (Saturday) to April 2 (Wednesday), and grants extra leave on April 3 and 4 (Thursday and Friday).

An official announcement of the moon sighting would determine the final holiday schedule.
