Heavy traffic claims another life as trailer runs over motorcyclist

One dead in accident near Northern Bypass

Heavy traffic in Karachi has claimed yet another life as a speeding trailer struck and killed a motorcyclist near Port Qasim.

According to details, a reckless trailer at Port Qasim’s Gate No. 2 ran over a young motorcyclist.

In a separate incident on the Northern Bypass, a collision between two trucks resulted in one fatality and left two others injured.

Rescue officials confirmed that the deceased, identified as Yahya, was a resident of Liaquatabad.

His body was shifted to the hospital. Meanwhile, police stated that the trailer driver responsible for the accident fled the scene.

The vehicle has been impounded, and further investigation is underway.

In another tragic accident near Pakistan Hotel on Northern Bypass, a trailer collided with a gas cylinder truck, killing one person and injuring two others.

The injured were shifted to a hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, a case has been registered in Korangi Mehran Town following the death of a four-year-old girl who was hit by a truck.

According to the FIR filed by the victim’s father, Mukhtar Ahmed, the truck driver had entered the street to dump garbage.

When locals objected, he tried to flee hastily, running over the child, Rukhsana, in the process.

Police confirmed the arrest of the truck driver, Zakirullah, and seized the vehicle.

It is worth noting that the number of traffic accident fatalities this year has reached 158.
