In a dramatic turn in the Mustafa Amir murder case, Kamran Asghar Qureshi, the father of prime suspect Armaghan Qureshi, has come forward with serious allegations, claiming that he possesses substantial evidence but no one is willing to listen.

During an appearance on Aaj TV’s programme “Dus” with host Imran Sultan, Kamran Qureshi expressed frustration over being denied access to his son.

“I want to be the chief investigation officer of my own child. I have plenty of evidence. I am a law graduate and hold a firearm licence,” he stated.

Referring to the police raid on his home, he alleged procedural irregularities.

“During the raid, the police left behind the daily logbook, which was already stamped by AVCC and Gizri Police Station,” he revealed.

“I have no shortage of money, and I trust no one.”

When questioned about his son’s alleged drug use, Qureshi admitted awareness but defended his parenting.

“Yes, I knew about his drug habits, but he is a young man, and I never stopped him. You shouldn’t scold children over 18.”

In a surprising aside, Qureshi spoke about his past in the music industry.

“I was in a band. I played the bass guitar and sang. You can ask Atif Aslam who Kamran Qureshi is.”

Legal expert Advocate Abid Zaman provided insights into the ongoing investigation, emphasising the importance of exhumation in the case.

“The body will first be examined to confirm if it belongs to Mustafa Amir. Then, DNA testing will be conducted to match it with his mother.”

He criticised the media’s role in shaping public opinion.

“The media has already announced its verdict. There’s a strong possibility that others were involved. Only children couldn’t have driven the vehicle all the way to Hub.”

Zaman also raised concerns about the case being treated as a staged police encounter, hinting at potential misconduct in the investigation.
