Pakistan Meteorological Department predicts snowfall, rain for upper regions this week

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) forecasted snowfall and rain on February 19 and 20 in the country’s upper regions.

A weather system is expected to enter on Wednesday, bringing heavy rains and snowfall, officials said and added that most parts of the country would experience rain accompanied by “strong winds.”

They added that “severe snowfall” is anticipated in the upper regions of Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, and Balochistan, rain along with gusty winds is expected.
