PMD forecasts rain across the country, including Islamabad
The Pakistan Meteorological Department has issued a weather forecast predicting rain in various parts of the country today, including the capital, Islamabad.
Cloudy conditions are expected in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, upper Punjab, and northeastern Balochistan, with forecasts of strong winds, thunderstorms, and snowfall in mountainous areas. Meanwhile, other regions are likely to remain dry.
In Islamabad and its surrounding areas, residents can expect overcast skies and the possibility of rain accompanied by gusty winds and thunderstorms.
In northern Balochistan, weather will be partially cloudy, with most areas experiencing dry conditions. However, rain and thunderstorms are forecasted in specific locations such as Quetta, Ziarat, Pishin, Qila Abdullah, Qila Saifullah, Zhob, Sherani, Musakhel Loralai, Barkhan, and Sibi. The mountainous regions of Balochistan, including Quetta, are anticipated to experience colder temperatures, particularly in the mornings and evenings.
Further, areas including Rawalpindi, Murree, Galiyat, Attock, Chakwal, Talagang, Jhelum, Gujrat, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Narowal, Lahore, Mianwali, Khushab, Sargodha, Bhakkar, Layyah, and Dera Ghazi Khan are forecasted to see partly cloudy weather with a chance of rain and thunderstorms later in the evening.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, rain is also expected in multiple districts, including Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Shangla, Battagram, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Haripur, Bajaur, Mardan, Charsadda, Swabi, Nowshera, Hangu, Bannu, Waziristan, Lakki Marwat, and Tank, with snowfall possible in the mountainous regions.
