Attempt to oust Balochistan CM Sarfraz Bugti fails
An attempt to remove Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti through an in-house change has failed, as a majority of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) lawmakers expressed their confidence in his leadership.
Provincial Minister Ali Hassan Zehri had been leading efforts for the no-confidence move.
However, amid internal disagreements, PPP leadership summoned the Balochistan lawmakers to Bilawal House in Karachi for consultations.
Sources revealed that Member of National Assembly (MNA) Malik Shah Gorgage has been assigned the task of brokering reconciliation between CM Bugti and Ali Hassan Zehri.
The meeting, held at Bilawal House Karachi, was presided over by senior PPP leader Faryal Talpur.

Following the developments, Balochistan government spokesperson Shahid Rind issued a statement confirming that a separate meeting was held at Zardari House Karachi, chaired by Faryal Talpur.
The meeting reportedly expressed full satisfaction with the performance of the provincial government. Rind clarified that the gathering was a routine consultative meeting focused on organisational and governmental affairs.
He further asserted that CM Bugti retains complete support within the party and is steering Balochistan towards progress.
