Baloch youth being turned against state on nefarious agendas, says Bugti

Outlines various initiatives to empower youth, including technical and vocational training

Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has condemned recent terrorist attacks in the province, stating that innocent civilians are being targeted in a deliberate attempt to alienate Baloch youth from the state. He emphasized that Baloch traditions would never condone the killing of innocent people, and while citizens may be critical of the government’s performance, they should not be alienated from the state itself.

Addressing a ceremony for the distribution of educational scholarships under the Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Scholarship Program, Bugti highlighted the Balochistan Youth Policy, aimed at bringing young people closer to the state and providing them with opportunities for growth. He emphasized the importance of education in overcoming poverty and announced the provincial government’s commitment to expanding the scholarship program.

Bugti stated that the program will provide a quality education to deserving students, including children of martyrs, minorities, and top performers from various districts. He also announced that 200 students will be selected for higher education at top universities worldwide. The program will also include transgender individuals.

The Chief Minister outlined various initiatives to empower youth, including technical and vocational training programs for 30,000 young people and the “Akuhwat” program, which provides interest-free loans to facilitate business ventures.
