Pakistan Meteorological Department forecasts cold, dry weather in different areas
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) predicted cold and dry weather on Tuesday (today) in different parts of the country.
The Met Office forecasted rain, wind, and thunderstorms (with snowfall in the mountains) for isolated areas in Kashmir, northeastern Punjab, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Light to moderate fog was expected in patches of northeastern Punjab during the morning hours.
Over the past 24 hours, cold and dry weather prevailed across most parts of the country, with particularly very cold conditions in the mountainous regions. Shallow to moderate fog was reported in northeastern Punjab.
The lowest recorded minimum temperatures on Monday included Leh at -11 degrees Celsius, Astore, Gupis, and Ziarat at -6 degrees Celsius, Kalam and Kalat at -5 degrees Celsius, Bagrote, Skardu, and Gilgit at -4 degrees Celsius, and Parachinar and Quetta at -3 degrees Celsius.
