Major changes to IHC structure after arrival of new judges
The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has announced significant changes to its administrative and departmental structures following the arrival of three additional judges from other provinces. These changes include the restructuring of the IHC’s Departmental Promotion Committee and Administrative Committee, as well as the release of a revised seniority list.
Administrative Committee Restructured
The IHC’s Administrative Committee has been reconstituted, with Chief Justice Aamer Farooq appointed as Chairman. Justice Sardar Farooq Dogar and Justice Khadam Hussain Memon have been appointed as members. The notification was issued by the Additional Registrar with the approval of Chief Justice Farooq.
Departmental Promotion Committee Also Restructured
Simultaneously, Chief Justice Farooq also announced changes to the IHC’s Departmental Promotion Committee. The new committee will consist of senior puisne judge Justice Sardar Farooq Dogar and Justice Azam Khan. This notification was issued by Additional Registrar Ijaz Ahmed with the approval of Chief Justice Farooq.
New Seniority List Released
A revised seniority list has also been released. According to the new list, Justice Sardar Farooq Dogar is the senior puisne judge, followed by Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani. The complete list is as follows:
