A vandalism incident occurred at a government school in Shah Faisal Town, Karachi, last night, with unknown individuals damaging the building due to objections over the school’s name, “Shaukat Khanum.”

Some individuals expressed discontent by chalking “Shaukat Khanum na manzoor” (Shaukat Khanum not accepted) on the walls.

The school administration stated that miscreants carried out the destruction. Police arrived at the scene and began an investigation.

The school recently underwent renovations costing approximately Rs4 to Rs5 million.

Scheduled for today, the opening ceremony was set to be led by Shah Faisal Town Chairman Goher Khattak, but the vandalism occurred beforehand.

The school administration planned to file a case against the unknown perpetrators. They also reported slogans against a charitable organization were found on the building.

Chairman Khattak has called for immediate action against those responsible.
