Rawalpindi man arrested for allegedly raping special child
A van driver was arrested after allegedly raping a special needs child in Rawalpindi on Tuesday.
The accused was arrested after the child’s mother filed a complaint in the Westridge Police Station.
According to an FIR filed in the Westridge police station, the child is only 12 years old and lives with his family in Afshan Colony on Qasim Road in Rawalpindi.
The boy studies at Hassan Academy, a school for special children in Rawalpindi.
The FIR says that the child came back home from school on November 20 and told his mother that a driver of one of the school’s two pick-and-drop vans took him to a room inside the school, lay out a sheet on the floor and sexually assaulted him.
The woman asked the police to act against the school administration as well as the ‘unknown’ driver.
Following the FIR, the van driver was arrested and investigations are now underway.
