Pakistan Meteorological Department issues weather warning
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) forecasts cold and dry weather for Islamabad and surrounding areas on Monday, with similar conditions expected on Tuesday. Overcast skies are anticipated during the night.
Most districts in Balochistan will experience cold and dry weather on Monday, with severe cold likely in the northern regions. This trend is expected to continue into Tuesday, maintaining cold and dry conditions across the province.
In Punjab, cold and dry weather will prevail in most districts on Monday. Areas such as Murree and Galiyat may experience severe cold at night, while light fog is expected in Sialkot, Narowal, Gujranwala, and nearby regions overnight.
On Tuesday, cold and dry conditions are also predicted for Sindh, with overcast skies expected at night in Rawalpindi, Attock, Jhelum, and Chakwal. Murree and Galiyat could see light rain or snowfall.
Cold and dry weather is expected to persist in most districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on both Monday and Tuesday, according to PMD forecasts.
The northern regions are likely to experience cold and dry conditions on Monday, with severe cold expected in upper areas.
PMD warns of heavy rain and snowfall on Tuesday in Chitral, Kohistan, Shangla, Buner, Swat, Kalam, Balakot, Mardan, Kohat, and Kurram, accompanied by strong winds.
