Gas container explosion in Multan leaves five dead, twenty-five injured

A gas container near the Industrial Estate in Multan exploded, resulting in the deaths of five people and injuries to twenty-five others.

The fire was successfully brought under control by rescue teams.

According to rescue sources, the explosion occurred near Sher Shah, with the sound reverberating across distant areas.

Debris from the blast fell into nearby homes, causing additional injuries among residents.

Central Police Office (CPO) Multan, Sadiq Ali, reported that the explosion destroyed several houses and led to the burning of animals in the vicinity.

Rescue operations involved 18 vehicles, with additional fire tenders requested from Muzaffargarh and Khanewal.

The Commissioner of Multan confirmed that all individuals in Faiz Town have been rescued, and those deceased and injured were rushed to Nishtar Hospital, where 13 individuals are in critical condition.
