UAE delivers 25 ambulances, medical supplies to Angola
The United Arab Emirates has sent 25 ambulances along with advanced medical equipment and supplies to Angola as part of a significant $220 million initiative aimed at enhancing Africa’s healthcare sector.
This initiative was announced by His Excellency Sheikh Shakhbout bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, Minister of State and Chairman of the Health Advisory Committee for International Development, during the recent COP28 climate conference held in Dubai.
Sheikh Shakhbout highlighted the strengthening bilateral relations between the UAE and Angola, particularly in the health sector, which faces substantial challenges due to inadequate infrastructure and facilities.
He emphasized that improving healthcare standards is a key priority for the UAE’s foreign aid programs.

Deputy Chairman of the UAE Aid Agency, Sultan Mohammed Al Shamsi, reiterated the UAE’s commitment to supporting less developed nations, especially in Africa, amid the pressing challenges posed by climate change and economic hardships that necessitate robust international cooperation.
