PML-N finalises AJK PM, reserved seat nominations
1 min readThe Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has finalised its consultations on the next prime minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) and candidates for reserved seats, party sources said on Sunday.
The final decisions in this respect were taken at a meeting held in Murree and chaired by PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, Federal Minister Amir Muqam, Rana Sanaullah and other party leaders attended the meeting.
According to the sources, the party has finalised the names for the AJK prime ministerial position as well as the reserved seats.
PML-N AJK President Shah Ghulam Qadir and Tariq Farooq are being considered for the prime minister’s position, the sources added.
For the women’s reserved seats, the names of Sehrish Qamar, Maryam Kashmiri, Nasira Khan and Nasara Abbasi are under consideration.
For the overseas reserved seat, the party is considering Haji Ehsan Danish, Abdul Rehman Arain and Raja Waseem, the sources said.
According to the sources, Nawaz Sharif will personally announce the final nominations on Monday.
