President Asif Ali Zardari has summoned a joint session of Parliament for Friday, January 24 at 10:00 AM.

The session, called under Article 54(1) of the Constitution, will see the Senate’s schedule adjusted accordingly.

Media reports suggest that the joint session will focus on the passage of several pending bills from both houses of Parliament.

The summary for convening the joint session was reportedly submitted by the Prime Minister.
