A shocking family dispute in Punjab’s Jaranwala turned deadly on Eid-ul-Fitr, as a man killed his brother and fled with the victim’s wife. The accused, Shahid, allegedly shot and killed his brother, Amjad Yaseen, before escaping.

Police sources revealed that both the killer and the victim engaged in parricide and fratricide in the past.

According to police, Amjad had recently been released from jail after serving time for killing another brother and injuring his sister. Shahid reportedly held a grudge against him for this crime.

Alleged extramarital affair behind the murder

Sources claim that while Amjad was in prison, Shahid developed an illicit relationship with his brother’s wife. This led to tensions between the two, culminating in the fatal shooting on Eid day.

In a disturbing revelation, authorities also confirmed that Shahid had previously murdered his father and secretly buried him in the courtyard of their home a few years ago.

Police investigation underway

The police have taken Amjad’s body into custody and sent it for a post-mortem at Tehsil Headquarters Hospital. A manhunt has been launched to apprehend Shahid and the victim’s wife, with authorities vowing to bring them to justice.
