UAE PM Rashid unveils billion-dollar housing project for newly-weds
United Arab Emirates Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum announced a housing initiative on Sunday, promising the construction of over 3,000 housing units in Dubai as part of the Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum Family Programme.
In a post on X, he revealed that the total investment for such projects is valued at AED 5.4 billion and participants in the Dubai Weddings Initiative would receive priority in housing allocation.
Rashid, who is also Dubai ruler, stated that the initiative aimed at encouraging young couples to marry and provide them with quality housing, making it easier for them to start their lives together.
“Our goal is to enhance the quality of life for young people embarking on this journey.”

The UAE PM went on to add that he, along with Hind bint Maktoum, Hamdan bin Mohammed, and Maktoum bin Mohammed, would continue to support efforts that promote the prosperity, stability, and comfort of the nation’s citizens.
