Germany’s Foreign Ministry launched a new digital platform designed to streamline the visa application process for individuals wishing to work, study, or reunite with family in Germany.

Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock described the initiative as “a real administrative revolution” aimed at improving access to essential documentation.

The online portal allows applicants to select from 28 categories of national visas and is accessible through all 167 German visa offices worldwide.

Baerbock emphasized the urgent need for this reform, noting that Germany faces a shortfall of at least 400,000 skilled workers annually.
