The United States carried out an 11th consecutive night of air strikes on Iran early Wednesday, intensifying military operations as diplomatic efforts led by Pakistan to revive a collapsed interim ceasefire showed little sign of progress.

The US Central Command (CENTCOM) said the latest wave of strikes targeted aircraft hangars and drone storage facilities, following President Donald Trump’s indication that military operations against Iran would escalate further.

The renewed bombardment came as Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni visited Pakistan, which has been acting as a key mediator between Washington and Tehran, in an effort to revive diplomatic negotiations.

As diplomacy stalled, both sides continued to target strategic infrastructure across the region.

Iranian state media reported explosions overnight in several provinces, including Bushehr, East Azerbaijan, Hamadan, Hormozgan, Khuzestan and Sistan-Baluchistan, as air defence systems were activated around Tehran.

Blasts were also reported in Bushehr, Parchin, Behbahan, Mahshahr, Bandar Abbas, Chabahar, Urmia, West of Tabriz, Baneh, Sirik, Urmia and Tehran.

Moreover, the US has reportedly struck the Bidboland Gas Refinery in Mahshahr, Khuzestan Province, Iran.

The Bidboland Gas Refinery is Iran’s largest gas processing facility and the largest gas hub in West Asia.

One of the strikes announced overnight by CentCom reportedly targeted the military section of Bushehr Airport.

The latest escalation followed an Iranian attack on a tanker transiting the Strait of Hormuz on Tuesday, forcing its crew to abandon the vessel.

Tehran also continued missile and drone attacks targeting US allies, including Bahrain, Jordan and Kuwait.

The widening conflict has further rattled energy markets, with Brent crude trading above $92 a barrel on Wednesday while average US gasoline prices climbed to around $4 per gallon.
