Generation Beta set to begin: Here is what you need to know?
A new demographic group, Generation Beta, is set to emerge, consisting of children born between 2025 and 2039, starting January 1, 2025.
This generation is projected to represent 16% of the global population by 2035, according to social researcher Mark McCrindle, who is known for defining generational labels. Many members of Generation Beta are expected to witness the dawn of the 22nd century.
Following Generation Alpha (2010-2024), Generation Beta continues the Greek alphabet naming convention, marking a new generational era. Often referred to as “Beta babies,” this generation will grow up in an environment characterized by advanced technological integration. They are anticipated to experience autonomous transportation, wearable health technologies, and immersive virtual environments as commonplace aspects of life.
“While Generation Alpha has observed the rise of smart technology and artificial intelligence, Generation Beta will live in a world where AI and automation are fully integrated into daily life, education, workplaces, healthcare, and entertainment,” McCrindle noted in a recent blog post.

Challenges Ahead While technology is expected to define Generation Beta’s era, they will also face significant societal challenges. Issues such as climate change, rapid urbanization, and changing population dynamics will demand that this generation prioritize adaptability, collaboration, and innovation. Despite growing environmental awareness among Generation Z and Generation Alpha, Generation Beta will be tasked with transforming sustainability from a concept into practice.
