The Meteorological Department has issued a forecast predicting rain and snowfall in various regions of the country.

Most areas are expected to experience cold and dry weather, with particularly chilly conditions anticipated in hilly regions.

Islamabad and its surrounding areas are likely to remain cold, while many districts in Punjab will also face cold and dry conditions. Some rain is expected in Murree, Galyat, and nearby locations.

Fog conditions are predicted in Multan, Khanewal, Khanpur, Rahim Yar Khan, and Bahawalpur, affecting much of southern Punjab as well.

In Gilgit-Baltistan, rain and snowfall are anticipated in some areas, and similar weather is forecasted for various regions in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including Kohistan, Chitral, Dir, Swat, Battagram, Manshera, and Abbottabad.

Rain and snowfall are also likely in Azad Kashmir and adjacent hilly areas, with cold winds expected in some plains. Additionally, fog is projected in certain parts of upper Sindh.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is expected to see dry and cold weather, with severe cold conditions possible in the upper districts. The department has indicated that over the next 24 hours, rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is expected in Swat, Shangla, Dir, Chitral, Manshera, Kohistan, Abbottabad, Battagram, and Torghar.

Temperatures in Swat have fallen below freezing, with Kalam registering minus 6 degrees Celsius, while Chitral and Timergara recorded minus 2 degrees Celsius.

The Environmental Department reports that the overall Air Quality Index for the city stands at 211, with specific areas recording even higher levels: 263 on Dalazak Road, 200 on GT Road, 221 on Charsadda Road, and 332 on Warsak Road.
