Cold and dry weather is likely to intensify in most parts of Pakistan from tomorrow (Wednesday) amid Siberian winds, according to Weather Updates PK.

Meanwhile, the Pakistan Meteorological Department forecasted cold and dry weather in upper regions of the country and extreme cold in northern areas and northern Balochistan.

Dense fog is likely to persist in parts of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and upper region of Sindh resulting in further drop in the temperature.

A day earlier, PMD said that Balochistan witnessed rain and snowfall due to the arrival of the new system from Afghanistan.

According to the forecast, under the influence of this system, the temperature was expected to decline further, and the speed of Siberian winds would potentially increase.

The impacts of snowfall were also experienced in Karachi where Siberian winds caused the mercury to drop resulting in chilly weather in the metropolitan.
