Indian actress Pragya Nagra, associated with the Malayalam film industry, has clarified that an alleged social media linked to her was AI generated.

“Still in denial, and still hoping that it’s just a bad dream that I will wake up from,” she said in an Instagram post in reaction to the viral content.

“Technology was meant to help us and not make our lives miserable. I can only pity the evil minds who misuse it to create such AI content and the people who help spread it!”

In the recent, several celebrities in Pakistan and India have been victims of such leaks. In November, Mathira clarified that viral social media content linked to her was “fake and AI generated.”

In an interview with 24 Digital, she called for making an example of those who leak and create fake videos of girls and celebrities.

With over 1.1 million followers on Instagram, Pragya made her debut in the Tamil film industry in 2022 and has since gained recognition in Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam cinema.

While the source of the alleged leaked video remains unclear, it has significantly impacted Pragya’s reputation.

She lamented the actions of those who misuse technology to create such AI-generated content, as well as those who assist in spreading it.

Pragya further shared her determination to stay strong through this ordeal, expressing gratitude to everyone supporting her during such challenging times.

“Trying to stay strong through all of this and grateful to all the people who are there for me in these moments. I hope and pray that no other woman has to go through such an ordeal and that all of you stay safe!”
