Project Mugen rebranded as Ananta in official trailer
NetEase has officially rebranded Project Mugen as Ananta, revealing a new trailer that showcases the game’s expansive open world and its innovative gameplay mechanics.
The trailer highlighted a strong focus on vehicle use, suggesting players will engage in street races and interact with various characters getting in and out of cars. This mechanic resembles the Grand Theft Auto series but promises a less violent experience.
Notably, the footage included scenes of gunfights occurring while characters drive, along with a unique battle featuring a car transformed into a robotic adversary, indicating that vehicles will play a significant role in combat.
While combat snippets were present, they were not as detailed as those in the original Project Mugen trailer. Instead, the new footage emphasizes a variety of activities players can partake in, including a Spider-Man style parkour system, basketball, weightlifting, and darts. There’s potential for even more activities to be included in the final version of the game.
